Hot Property: Register for Liam Payne One Direction at Calabasas

After not finding last year’s takers at $ 11.2 million, Liam Payne One Direction’s fame has changed the real estate agent and bought back the complex in the Santa Monica Mountains near Calabasas for $ 10.75 million.

The British singer and songwriter bought land of nearly five hectares five years ago at a price of $ 10 million and has renovated property extensively during his ownership.

Tucked behind a gate, this beautiful expanse includes a 9659-square-foot main house, two guesthouses, a teahouse, and a mosaic-floored swimming pool. Lime terraces, koi ponds, organic gardens and small vineyards fill the land.

The main house is in Spanish style, although it was built in 1991, full of Old World details. Noteworthy are five fireplaces with carved limestone coats, hand-carved walnut floors, beamed ceilings and special pendants. The dramatic wood paneled library draws the eye upward with two built-in levels. Rows of lazy chairs filled the theater space.

This property was previously owned by the late Alan Purwin, an air film operator and entrepreneur who worked on more than 100 films, including the “Transformers”, “Armageddon” (1998) and “Pearl Harbor” (2001) series.

Payne, 26, was involved in a number of hits as part of One Direction, including “What Makes You Beautiful,” “Live While We’re Young” and “Story of My Life.” The super group, which was formed after musicians and band friends appeared separately on “The X Factor,” went on hiatus in 2016 and folded the tour company the following year.

Since then, Payne appeared by itself, releasing a long album in 2018 and her debut solo album, “LP1,” last year.

Jonah Wilson from Hilton & Hyland and Tomer Fridman of Compass hold the listing.

LeBron James already has two homes in Los Angeles, but he might be looking to make another step.

The Lakers superstar has been secretly shopping for new residences at Westside L.A., specifically in Bel-Air and Beverly Crest, according to real estate sources who are familiar with areas that are not authorized to talk about the issue. Scuttlebutt is that James wants to increase to a greater compound.

The NBA MVP four times previously spent about $ 43 million combined on a pair of houses in Brentwood.

In 2015, while with the Cleveland Cavaliers, James paid around $ 21 million for a 9,440-square-foot traditional house designed by architect Ken Ungar. Two years later, he dropped another $ 23 million in a newly built large house of almost 15,550 square feet.

One fell, one left

Stockard Channing was in sequential sales in Hollywood Hills. A year after selling the Midcentury house for $ 1.79 million, the “Grease” and “West Wing” actress has just registered another charming property in the area for $ 2,495 million.

Perched above Laurel Canyon, this rustic-style house occupies lush and remote land. The garden fills the front of the property, while the backyard has a Saltillo tiled terrace with a pool and spa overlooking the hills.

Detail the old and new mix in a one-story floor plan, where white painted beams and original stained glass windows touch public spaces with glass walls and special built-in. The fireplace is anchored in the living room and dining room, and the kitchen opens directly into the backyard.

The master suite is also extended outward, to the corner of a private garden. It’s one of three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in 2,157 square feet.

Channing, 76, gained fame in the 1978 film “Grease” and won Tony seven years later for the revival of “Joe Egg.” She won an Emmy for her role as the first woman in “The West Wing” and for the TV movie “The Matthew Shepard Story” and received an Academy Award nomination for the 1994 film “Six Degrees of Separation.”

The former pro found the final zone

The former NFL running back turned into college football analyst Reggie Bush has sold his home in Pacific Palisades for about six years at a price of $ 7,381 million.

Fully renovated during the Bush stay, this striking contemporary home of around 7,500 square feet features polished glass, stone and wood details throughout; sky-roofed kitchen; and temperature-controlled wine cellars. Dark curtains and a drop-down projection screen in the living room turn the room into a home theater by pressing a button.

The multi-bedroom master suite with private cover terrace is among five bedrooms of the house and 5.5 bathrooms.

Outside, about three-quarters of a hectare of property, there is an infinity swimming pool, a fire pit and a built-in barbecue. The covered patio space and deck and lounge area extend the outdoor trail.

Bush, 35, initially put up houses for sale last year at $ 9,995 million.

Retired running back starts at Helix High School in La Mesa. As a member of the University of Southern California football program, he was awarded the All-American award twice, the Doak Walker Award and the Heisman Trophy (which was then forfeited). Drafted a second overall for the NFL in 2006, Bush played for Saints, Dolphins, Lions, 49ers and Bills in 11 professional seasons.

Last year, he was hired by Fox Sports as an analyst at a college football studio, joining former USC teammate Matt Leinart, among others.

Jordan Cohen from RE / MAX One is a listing agent. Patricia Spencer of Compass represents the buyer.

Who says there is no money on television during the day? Host “Family feud” Steve Harvey bought a 35,000-square-foot mega mansion in Atlanta for $ 15 million.

Harvey is the third owner of an impressive estate in five years. It was previously owned by filmmaker Tyler Perry, who sold it in 2016 to televangelist David Turner for a record of $ 17.5 million. Turner shot the stars two years later, registered the house with $ 25 million before cutting the price to $ 21 million and eventually sold it to Harvey at a loss of $ 2.5 million.

Located on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, this estate has an area of 17 hectares on the north side of the city and seems to utilize every inch. Rolling lawns and formal gardens fill the property with ease, which has a 70,000 gallon pool, tennis courts, and various buildings.

Two gates, a dramatic fountain, and stone walkways approach the main residence of seven bedrooms with 14 bathrooms. There is a billiard room, wine cellar, cinema, fully equipped gym, spa facilities, and a resistance pool built in a cave-like space.

Harvey, 63, gained fame as a comedian in the 1980s and 90s before moving to television, where he starred in “The Steve Harvey Show” and hosted the “Family Feud.” He published four books as well, including the 2009 “Acting Like Women, Thinking Like Men.”

Chase Mizell of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby International Realty holds the list. Lisa Robinson from Engel & Volkers Atlanta represented Harvey.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.

According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”

In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.

The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.

In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.

From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.

Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.

“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
