Hot Property: Clippers’ Paul George lists Hidden Hills homes

Hot Property: Clippers' Paul George lists Hidden Hills homes

The NBA is officially on track to return, and it looks like Paul George is planning his own pace. The Clippers star, which could become a free agent in 2021, has just put its Hidden Hills home on the market for $ 9.495 million, records show.

Derived from L.A. County, George will get a good profit if he gets the price; The sixth All-Star paid $ 7.4 million for the property four years ago.

The customary area stretches over one acre, centered on a Mediterranean-style house of nearly 16,000 square feet. For some quarantine training, there is also a basketball court behind.

Inside, a large 4,000-square-foot large room anchors an impressive floor plan. Located under a dramatic beam and motorized skylight, it opens outside through a sliding glass wall. Lined with limestone, other common spaces include formal dining rooms, special offices, theaters, wine cellars, billiard rooms and renovated kitchens with U-shaped islands.

In other places there are seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The master suite offers plenty of space, extending into a double wardrobe, a room with a double-sided fireplace, a bathroom with a built-in sofa and a private terrace.

At the back, the stone terrace offers a covered lounge with a TV, fireplace and swimming pool and spa. The deck sees beautiful landscape views, as well as the basketball court, playground and yard below. Fruit and shade trees complete the view.

George, 30, has won various awards for decades in the league. After winning the Most Improved Player award in 2013, he won a gold medal at the Olympics three years later and was appointed to the All-NBA First Team in 2019.

After seven seasons with the Pacers and two with the Thunder, he was traded to the Clippers last year in a blockbuster agreement that sent Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari and five first-round picks to the Thunder.

He might hope for a little more success in the real estate market this time. Last summer, he sold his seaside home in Indiana for $ 1.5 million, or $ 550,000 less than he paid for the place in 2013.

Marc and Sara Shevin of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services California Properties hold the listing.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.

According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”

In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.

The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.

In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.

From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.

Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.

“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
