Crying Kirk Herbstrate gave an emotional speech Saturday during ESPN’s “College GameDay” season premiere, discussing the impact of 2020 on the black community.

The show also made predictions for the SEC West and East races and even discussed the start time of the season

However, Herbstrate’s emotional comments made Maria Taylor, like everyone else on screen, cry.

“I spoke with David Shaw, Stanford’s head coach, he shared a quote with me and it reminded me … from Benjamin Franklin:“ Justice will not prevail until those who are not affected are as outraged as those who who. ‘

“The black community is suffering. If you have listened to (you have heard) words of empathy and compassion in the past four months. How do you listen to these stories and do not feel pain and do not want to help? If you know what I mean? It’s like wearing a hoodie with your hands at 10-2 (on the steering wheel). Oh god, I look better. I wear Nike clothes, how? What we are talking about?

“You cannot relate to it if you are white, but you can listen and try to help, because this is not normal. It just isn’t true.

“We have to do better, man. We must clasp hand and hand and be together. This is no longer in the football locker room. We must do better. “

The GameDay team also shared their preferences for the SEC West and East races.

“I really felt Georgia all along, but I think when (Jamie) Newman pulled out and JT Daniels stepped in, I would go with Kyle Trask (from Florida),” Herbstrate said. “I ride with Florida alligators over Georgia in the SEC East.”

Lee disagreed with the course.

“I disagree. I’m going to Georgia. They have a new quarterback, but they have 16 returning players,” Corso said.

Desmond Howard sided with Herbstright and the Alligators.

As far as the West is concerned, it’s all about Alabama.

“I still love it when Alabama conquers the West; So I’ll go with Roll Tide, ”Howard said.

“I agree with you, Desmond,” Corso said. “They have Texas A&M and Georgia at home. They are hungry. Alabama – Roll Tide “.

“Auburn is a forgotten team, but I’m here with the guys. I still think Alabama is the team to beat. “

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.

According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”

In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.

The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.

In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.

From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.

Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.

“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
