The government announces an order that saves between $ 165 million and $ 372 million.

Under-Secretary of State for Energy, João Galamba, signed an order on Wednesday on pay regimes for wind power centers that will save consumers between 165 and 372 million euros.

In a press release, the Office of the Secretary of State assures that “in accordance with the calculations requested by the Energy Services Regulatory Authority,” the order signed this Wednesday “is estimated to achieve significant savings for all Portuguese consumers. Today from 165 to 372 million euros“.

“The order sets out the regularization of contributions already made and the setting of tariff thresholds to be applied during periods of additional years of guaranteed remuneration for wind energy centers that adhere to one of the remuneration regimes provided for in Decree-Law No. 35/2013. , from February 28 “, – explains the same source.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, this decree-law “gives wind power centers the opportunity to enjoy an additional period of five or seven years of guaranteed remuneration, provided that they pay annual compensation to the National Electricity System for eight years. which took place from 2013 to 2020 ”.

“The indicative values of the annual remuneration, as well as the minimum and maximum limits of the applicable remuneration regimes contained in the aforementioned decree-law, are revised annually by multiplying by a correction factor,” the note reads.

The office emphasizes that “the methodology that was adopted in applying this correction factor does not meet the goal set when it was created: maintaining parity between tariff thresholds and compensation that must be paid for their receipt, a situation in which this procedure corrects.” …

Lusa inquired from the press service of the Ministry of Environment and Climate about when this decision will be reflected in the accounts of consumers, but has not yet received a response.

On Monday, the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) announced that electricity tariffs for domestic consumers in the regulated market will rise from July 1, reflecting the rise in energy prices in the wholesale markets.

According to the regulator, “the estimated impact of the electricity tariff update for consumers in the regulated market is 3% in relation to the current prices for the total electricity bill (VAT included)”, which means an increase of about € 1.05 on average for a couple without children (with an installed capacity of 3.45 kVA) and 2.86 euros for the consumption of a couple with two children (power 6.9 kVA).

ERSE said in a statement that “with a -0.6% decline in January with this update, the average annual rate change between 2021 and 2020 will be about 0.9%.”

This tariff review aims to adapt the electricity tariffs applied to consumers in the regulated market to the evolution of wholesale market prices, which are rising, avoiding “corrected deviations in subsequent years”.

This mechanism was first applied in 2020 in a reverse downward direction.

In this context, the regulator has updated the electricity tariff – one of the components of the electricity bill – with an increase of five € / MWh.

The new electricity tariff comes into effect on July 1, 2021 and applies to consumers of the regulated market, who account for approximately 5% of total consumption and 954 thousand consumers in February 2021, since most already have a free market trader.

The first Dacia hybrid. "The cheapest hybrid family on the market"

BUT Dacia revealed this Monday that the hybrid engine has been available since March on the Jogger, the Romanian brand’s model known to be available with a seven-seat variant.

The Jogger Hybrid 140, Dacia’s first hybrid, will hit dealerships in March, but customers can expect and order it as early as January.

The price has been revealed by Dacia and since it’s only available in the seven-seater SL Extreme, it starts at €28,800. The brand claims it is “the most affordable hybrid family car on the market.”

Available in six existing colors to celebrate the launch of this hybrid, there will be a slate gray version, as you can see in the images above.

Equipped with a 1.6 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 90 hp, the Jogger is also powered by two electric motors (a 50 hp engine and a high-voltage starter-generator). The total power is 140 horsepower. The electric transmission is automatic, four-speed, connected to an internal combustion engine, and two speeds are connected to an electric motor. This combined technology was possible, according to Dacia, only due to the lack of clutch.

Combined with the energy recovery levels of the 1.2kWh (230V) battery pack and the efficiency of the automatic transmission, regenerative braking delivers all-electric traction on 80% of urban journeys and saves up to 40% of fuel compared to a combustion engine vehicle.
