Spencer Dinwiddie’s coronavirus prognosis was suddenly hopeful
Despite being tested positive for COVID-19, Spencer Dinwiddie did not give up on joining the Nets to restart the NBA. He slowly recovered from the virus and took steps towards trial.
“Renewal of 10 days: Headaches due to sinus pressure when I wake up begin to subside. But I’m too bullish on the motorcycle, “Dinwiddie shared on Twitter, along with sweaty but still smiling emojis. “Getting dizzy and feeling weak. But if I can get a negative test tomorrow then they will take me back to court Tuesday. “
The Nets announced on Sunday that both Dinwiddie and DeAndre Jordan have tested positive, with Jordan sidelining himself from restarting the NBA at Disney. The Nets will add a substitute for Jordan, but GM Sean Marks says Dinwiddie is on the travel party list.
The Nets head to Orlando on Tuesday and enter quarantine at Disney. Dinwiddie will be asked by the NBA to have two negative tests before he can even travel. The hope is to be able to fly with the team to Florida, because traveling separately will complicate matters.
“The protocol only asks for 7 days and the negative test is not a standard 14 days,” Dinwiddie tweeted from quarantine one shorter week. “Yep, the plan is to fly to Orlando after training. For players who arrive late, it might be difficult to continue the season altogether due to more stringent testing requirements. “
Players traveling separately from their team must pay for themselves. If they fly a plane or travel by car, they must have two negative tests before they enter the bubble, while commercial travel requires three direct negative tests.
Dinwiddie had the highest career average of 20.6 points and 6.8 assists, and would be a great loss if he could not play. More playmaking burdens will fall on two-way player Chris Chiozza.
“With Spencer, I hope he can play. I hope he feels better, “Chiozza said. “But if not, I’ll be ready to take those extra minutes.”
Chiozza is a plus-29 while scoring eight points to go with four assists and three rebounds in the March 3 win of OT’s comeback in Boston, and adding 14 career high points to the next match vs. Memphis.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.
Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.
According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”
In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.
The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.
In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.
From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.
Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.
“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.
“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
