Senator Sasse blamed “criminals in China” for coronaviruses in graduation speeches
GOP Senator Ben Sasse received sharp criticism from a high school board member for the comments he made during starting address during weekends.
The senator delivered an online address to students at his former high school, Fremont High School in Nebraska, where he blamed China for the coronavirus outbreak, joked about student fitness and shared his dislike of psychologists.
Unshaven Sasse, wearing a red tie and a loose white shirt, told students at their future reunion that they would talk about “that time when China started a major global pandemic that created the worst public health crisis in more than a century and brought the economy to kneel, and we have to stay home and everyone hoard toilet paper. “
Sasse continues, “Nobody knows exactly how we will defeat this, but you know, we are Americans, we are Nebraskan, we have grits and we will defeat this.”
The senator also said there would be “serious calculations with thugs in China who let this mess out of control by lying about it.”
He also told students, “Everyone named Jeremy is the worst,” without any explanation.
He also cited the Netflix documentary “Tiger King”, killed bees, and took a hard blow on the student body, “Back in the day when we were much fitter than you, we had to climb ropes all the way to the gym ceiling all the time.”
The senator took aim at psychologists too, saying “95 percent of all psychologists who were successfully employed … their work was really just to help people forget about high school,” added, “if you go to college, don’t – don’t – don’t – majors in psychology. That part is not a joke. “

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.
According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”
In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.
The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.
In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.
From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.
Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.
“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.
