09/11/2022

Through Aprimora, in addition to being the protagonists of their learning, students each have their own pace, time, and way of learning.

With the aim of improving and improving the teaching of Portuguese through interactive and engaging learning, 1st to 3rd year students of the Guarapuava Municipal Education Network started last Monday (07) Portuguese language classes on the Enhance platform.

“The hiring of this learning mechanism, as well as gamification in mathematics, will contribute to the further development of learning in the municipality. From now on, the Portuguese language will be taught in a didactic and technological way to further motivate our students,” emphasizes Minister of Education Pablo de Almeida.

Aprimora is a responsive and “playable” platform that provides a fully personalized Portuguese language teaching experience, supports teachers and improves student achievement. In Guarapuava, the app will be used with students in the literacy phase, i.e. 1st to 3rd year.

At this first moment, 18 public schools will take part in the classes, with 2,967 students and 125 teachers. Through Aprimora, in addition to being the protagonists of their learning, students each have their own pace, time, and way of learning. Classes on the Aprimora platform are organized according to a weekly schedule with a load of up to 60 minutes.

James Iochaki Bogdanovich Ishimoto of the Department of Educational Informatics at the Municipal Department of Education (MED) explains the project development initiative. “SME understands that in order to ensure technological potential in its main aspects, it is necessary that four dimensions are balanced: Vision (belief in the potential of technology in education), learning (teaching team of lifelong learning units), infrastructure (investment in the Internet). high-quality equipment) and the so-called RED’s (digital educational resources),” he explained.

James also tells how the training of specialists who will conduct classes with students took place. “Having as a parameter a balance between size, vision, training, infrastructure and RED. During 2021, training sessions were held on active methodologies for teacher regents from 1st to 3rd grade of 18 schools participating in the Piá Conectado project. In 2022, the same teachers completed the Aprimora platform training,” he said.

In parallel with these activities, SMEs assisted school departments in organizing the infrastructure needed to access the Internet in classrooms by installing routers and network cables.

The project is expected to run until the end of 2023. The Secretariat has already requested studies to extend the Piá Conectado project model to all schools in the municipal network.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.

According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”

In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.

The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.

In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.

From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.

Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.

“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
