Diesel will drop 2 cents next week of the sixth autumn of the year - Energy

Fuel prices will follow the trend of the price of a barrel of oil on the international market and will rise next week. From Monday, January 17, both diesel and petrol will cost more at gas stations in Portugal.

In the case of plain diesel fuel, prices are expected to rise by about 2 cents per liter to 1.567 euros per liter, according to Negosios’ calculations. Regular gasoline 95 has risen in price by about one cent per liter, to 1718 euros, following the trend of recent weeks.

This increase comes at a time when the price of a barrel is starting to “cross the red line,” leading China and the US to agree that Beijing will provide more crude oil supplies from Feb. 1 to slow growth. quotes.

In 2021, gasoline prices rose by 19% and diesel by 21%, mainly due to oil prices rising by more than 50% in major international markets – the biggest annual increase since 2009. It was the year of the pandemic. , albeit not for long. However, the omicron option is less daunting in terms of impact on energy demand.

For 2022, oil price growth uncertainty reigns, with analysts pointing to a support line at $75/bbl and a resistance line at $85 for North Sea Brent, and those pointing to quotes in three-digit order , as was the case with Bloomberg Intelligence.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI), the US benchmark for February delivery, rose 0.16% to $82.25 a barrel by Friday afternoon. London-traded Brent crude for the North Sea in February, which is a benchmark for European imports, rose 0.41% to $84.22.

Portuguese drivers will pay more taxes in 2022

Here, this year, drivers should expect an ISP cut on January 31, 2022, and a carbon tax freeze in March.

Regarding the carbon tax, the Portuguese Association of Petroleum Companies (Apetro), contacted by Negócios, estimates that fuel for on-road use could be affected by “an increase of 4 to 5 cents per liter (excluding VAT) after March 2022 from -for a 78% increase in the cost of CO2 permits compared to the previous period.”

The calculations are based on the evolution of these two derivatives of oil (diesel and gasoline) and the euro. But the cost of fuel at a gas station will always depend on each gas station, brand and area where it is located.

The new prices take into account the deviations calculated by Negócios in relation to the average price in force in Portugal this week and announced by the Directorate General of Energy and Geology (DGEG).

The first Dacia hybrid. "The cheapest hybrid family on the market"

BUT Dacia revealed this Monday that the hybrid engine has been available since March on the Jogger, the Romanian brand’s model known to be available with a seven-seat variant.

The Jogger Hybrid 140, Dacia’s first hybrid, will hit dealerships in March, but customers can expect and order it as early as January.

The price has been revealed by Dacia and since it’s only available in the seven-seater SL Extreme, it starts at €28,800. The brand claims it is “the most affordable hybrid family car on the market.”

Available in six existing colors to celebrate the launch of this hybrid, there will be a slate gray version, as you can see in the images above.

Equipped with a 1.6 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 90 hp, the Jogger is also powered by two electric motors (a 50 hp engine and a high-voltage starter-generator). The total power is 140 horsepower. The electric transmission is automatic, four-speed, connected to an internal combustion engine, and two speeds are connected to an electric motor. This combined technology was possible, according to Dacia, only due to the lack of clutch.

Combined with the energy recovery levels of the 1.2kWh (230V) battery pack and the efficiency of the automatic transmission, regenerative braking delivers all-electric traction on 80% of urban journeys and saves up to 40% of fuel compared to a combustion engine vehicle.
