Marcus Stroman has taken a swing in training.

While MLB owners and players remained at odds in the middle of negotiations to start the 2020 season, the Mets thrower lent his expertise to aspiring young baseball players. Stroman, who currently lives in the Tampa Bay area, has offered to help young players, high schools and colleges in the area during the postponement.

“Every high school baseball team in the Tampa area who wants volunteer assistants who train / train mentally / vibrate … LET ME KNOW!” Stroman tweeted Monday.

“The campus team also works!” 29 years later added. “I went out to kick him, talked about life, and taught you all the bakers and surfers. I am happy about this. I have nothing but knowledge to spread to youth!”

Stroman, who got the All-Star nod in his first season with the Mets, then added further instructions to interested coaches on Twitter Tuesday, telling them to send an email to info@stroshow.com with “age group, team name, location, time practice I’m dating in the next few weeks / months, and some enlightening information about your troops! “

As of Tuesday afternoon, there were more than 300 responses to Stroman’s services.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that Stroman has a $ 1.7 million seaside home in Tampa and a condominium in Dunedin, according to local tax records.

After 5½ seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, Stroman is traded to New York on a July 2019 deadline in return for the pitching prospects of Anthony Kay and Simeon Woods Richardson. Stroman posted a 10-13 record in his first season at Flushing, collecting 3.22 ERA and 1.31 WHIP.
