Matt Damon is not happy. Jimmy Kimmel is taking a break from the show

Jimmy Kimmel might be committed to his family, but he gave up on his long-running joke with Matt Damon.

In clip from Thursday’s episode from “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” where the late-night presenter detailed his vacancy next summer, a robed and masked Damon slipped out of the bedroom inside Kimmel’s house to mock him for vacationing.

“What does that mean, ‘depart?'” Jeered Damon, with Kimmel responding he only took a few moments.

“What will I do?” said Damon, 49, adding he had been waiting to appear on the show after hiding in a room for three months. The duo is known to have been involved in idly “feuds” for years.

Kimmel, 52, said he would rest from July 6 to spend it with his family.

“Nothing is wrong, I am healthy, my family is healthy, I only need to take a few months off,” Kimmel said. The statement seems to be aimed at Kimmel’s break in 2017 – when he moved away from the show after his son, Billy, was born with a heart condition, which needed a lot of surgery.

Kimmel’s hiatus will end in September, when he returns to the air to host The Emmy, although it is unknown whether they will occur virtually or directly in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic.

This spoof clip shows Damon and Kimmel joking with each other, when the actor tore off the host for keeping Tori Spelling’s book in his room – the Damon touting that he read three times while hiding. Shortly thereafter, Kimmel’s wife, Molly, was seen slipping out of the room – also wearing a robe.

“Why is my wife in the room?” Kimmel asked. “I mean, why do you think he’s in the room?” Damon responds.

Damon then walked off the screen, wishing Kimmel a great summer wherever he went.

“You have a great summer wherever you go,” Kimmel applauded again.

“I’ll!” said Damon. “I will be your wife!”

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.

According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”

In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.

The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.

In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.

From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.

Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.

“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
