NBC told Page Six that an investigation into alleged racism on the TV show “America’s Got Talent” found no errors.

The investigation was launched by the network after former judge Gabrielle Union, 47, claimed in November last year that, among other things, people at the event complained that her hair style was “too black.” It was also reported that a young black contestant was expelled from the show because he needed players who “the Americans could miss.”

On Wednesday – the same day Variety publishes lengthy interviews with Union about his experience at the event – representatives for the network and producers of the show told us that a lengthy investigation had cleared the network and the producer.

In a statement to Page Six, the representative said, “When we heard Ms. Union worry about her time at the event, we took her very seriously.”

The rep indicated that, after the allegations surfaced, the network and producers – Fremantle and Syco – “immediately engaged an outside investigator who conducted more than 30 interviews to review the issues raised by Ms. Union.”

“Although the investigation has demonstrated overall cultural diversity, the investigation also highlighted several areas where the reporting process could be improved,” the representative said.

But the representative added that the investigation had “revealed that no one associated with the show made an insensitive or condescending statement about Ms. appearance. Union, and that both race and sex are not contributing factors in advancing or eliminating contestants at any time. “

The next step is Alison Roman

Food columnist temporarily moved from his position in the New York Times after controversial comments about Chrissy Teigen and Marie Kondo.

“This is a big change for me both personally and professionally, and I still process so much, but know that I’m working on it and think about it 24/7,” he wrote on Instagram, Tuesday. “The problems raised by all this will not be fixed overnight, and the healing process for many people will take a long time, but I am committed to doing work to make it better.”

His new business? A bulletin, he said, for those who want to follow their food recipes and blogging.

“For the future, you can find me in the bulletin that I started 3 years ago and never sent lol. There will be recipes, e-mail readers, recommendations and discussions about things that I hope you will like or find useful, “he announced, adding,” In lieu of the comments or DM section, I encourage you to submit questions / comments / problems to [email protected], the idea of sharing some of them in the bulletin (I learned the ‘comments section’ is not the best place for public discourse). “

Jennifer Lopez had to postpone her marriage to Alex Rodriguez in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic – and she had mixed feelings about it.

“I’m a little heartbroken because we do have some great plans but I also like it, you know? God has a bigger plan so we just have to wait and see,” he said via video chat on “Today Show” on Tuesday. “Maybe this will get better. I have to believe it will happen.”

For now, J. Lo, 50, said he and A-Rod, 44, have delayed their plans.

“There is no planning right now. You just have to wait and see how this all happens,” he said. “It’s disappointing on one level, you know, after the Super Bowl and after [filming] “World of Dance” … I plan to take time off, which we are doing now, but at the same time, you know, we have a lot of plans for this summer and this year, but, all of them are rather on hold now. “

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.

According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”

In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.

The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.

In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.

From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.

Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.

“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
