For Diogo da Silva, this is an award that makes a lot of sense, not least because it marks the culmination of an upward journey over the past two years that began when the current streamer was out of a job in 2020 due to the pandemic. . “I started doing this because I lost my job. I come from a village of 70 people, I was unemployed and two years later I’m in Milan receiving an award.” responds to MAGG in an Italian city, already with a trophy in his hands and after the victory.

“I want to thank my community, the brands that work with me, and my family and friends who motivate me every day and help bring this award to Portugal. I am very happy,” says the streamer, who worked before the pandemic. in a clothing store and a nightclub.

When he learned about the About You Awards nomination, Diogo da Silva admitted that he thought it was “a joke in bad taste.” “Then I began to understand that everything is serious, and despite the fact that I always wanted more, the very fact that I am here [cerimónia em Milão] It was already amazing.”

But Diogo really won and left behind content creators like Amar, CiccioGamer89, iCrimax, MarkozHD, Mayichi, Mitzuu, Nil Ojeda, Patrick Mordi, and SavyUltras90, some of whom have far more followers than the Portuguese streamer. “There are guys with four to five million followers, I have 72,000 on Instagram, but my averages are better than everyone else, so I think my work is being done well,” emphasizes Move Mind.

After Diogo da Silva wins, he hopes this award will serve to change the mentality. “It’s good to be in Portugal, but sometimes people don’t appreciate us. I hope that with this trophy people will start to look at things differently. I think this award is a slap in the face for a lot of people in Portugal who don’t give enough importance to what I do. They think it’s just games, when in fact there are many people who thank me for helping them in one way or another in my work, ”the streamer emphasizes.

In addition to Move Mind, Clara Nao, Hugo Suissas, Lucas Rodriguez and Sofia Coelho were nominated for the About You Awards but did not win in their respective categories.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.

According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”

In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.

The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.

In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.

From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.

Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.

“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
