O Torcedores.com found that Thiago Rodriguez was unhappy with the lack of opportunities since he was hired by Estoril. The termination of communication between the player and the club was officially announced this Monday (12) by the Portuguese Football Federation.

The sacking has been discussed in recent days after manager Nelson Verissimo revealed that Thiago Rodrigues would remain as a reserve for Portuguese Daniel Figueira. Having got on a collision course with the coach, he was promoted to the rank of fourth goalkeeper in the squad.

At the same time, he did not get on the bench in five games of the Portuguese championship: Sporting, Pacos de Ferreira, Rio Ave, Vitoria de Guimarães and Famalicao. Thus, the board of directors authorized the goalkeeper to look for a new club.

The Shirt 12 had a season of ups and downs for the team. Faced with Estoril’s unsuccessful campaign in the Portuguese Championship, Thiago Rodrigues became one of the targets of the fans.

Thiago Rodríguez’s last match took place in Estoril Praia’s 3-2 loss to Porto on May 15, as part of the 34th round of the Portuguese Championship. Since then, he has not played in the club’s shirt again.

Thiago Rodriguez didn’t show up for Flamengo

Created by Flamengo’s youth division, Thiago Rodriguez arrived at the club in 2013. He was part of a generation that included Gabriel Batista, Samir, Leo Duarte, Jorge, Jean Lucas, Lucas Paqueta, Matheus Savio, Felipe Viseu, Pedro and Vinicius Junior.

Two years later, coach Wanderlei Luxemburgo promoted him to the first team. At the time, he held the position of third goalkeeper behind Paulo Victor and Cesar in order of preference for the coaching staff.

However, his debut did not come until 2017 when Flamengo thrashed Portuguesa da Ilha 5-1 with Campeonato Carioca. Subsequently, he will return to the gates of the red-blacks instead of Alex Muraglia, marked by repeated failures in the starting lineup.

Despite the confidence of Ze Ricardo, the then Flamengo manager, the goalkeeper succumbed to the pressure and eventually forced the club to enter the market after Diego Alves. In total, 19 matches were played for the club from 2015 to 2019.

For the club, he was part of the squad in the 2017 and 2019 Campeonato Carioca conquests, the 2016 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Junior and the 2015 Campeonato Carioca Sub-20. in America-MG.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.

According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”

In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.

The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.

In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.

From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.

Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.

“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
