Do you know what kind of router you have at home? 6 Tips to Increase (Without Complications) Internet Speed

You don’t have to be a computer genius to have faster internet. It also does not require large investments. At least that’s guaranteed by Selectra, which specializes in comparing electricity and telecommunications rates, creating a guide with six tips for boosting internet speed at home.

“Those who use the Internet on a daily basis understand how frustrating problems browsing the web can be and even the consequences that can arise from this in a professional context,” notes Selectra. It’s simple, while it’s natural that internet speeds aren’t always the same, it’s important to be aware of potential issues that could be related to hardware or telecommunications packages.

But before moving on to changing carriers, it’s worth reading these four tips to rule out problems that can be fixed at home in the first place.

1 – Manage internet consumption in a controlled way

Are you one of those people who always have dozens of web pages open at the same time? So, it’s time to start searching in order of need. That is, to avoid consumption overload, it is preferable to do one task at a time rather than accumulate dozens of unread research sites.

It’s the same with downloads, as it’s better to leave them for other times than when you need your computer to work.

2. Make sure your router is one of the latest

If the router you have at home hasn’t been changed in a few years or has recently changed your internet speed, it’s important to make sure the router doesn’t need to be replaced either. To do this, you must contact your operator so that he informs you of the situation.

3 – Pay attention to where you place the router

In a high, central and unobstructed location. This is how you need to position the device so that nothing interferes with its connection and it can perform its function at 100%. If you also have an antenna, make sure it is in a vertical position.

4 – Consider buying an amplifier

Got a big house? Then make sure the router has enough power to cover the entire area. If you notice that some places do not have access to a good signal, your best bet is to use an amplifier to expand your coverage area and thus improve your Internet experience.

5 – switch to 5 GHz

First of all, check if your router has 2.4GHz and 5GHz options to connect to your Wi-Fi network. If you do have access to those two, choose 5GHZ as it can go up to 287Mbps, as opposed to the first option which hovered around 50-60Mbps.

6 – Choose one of the less saturated channels

European routers use 13 channels operating in the range from 2401 to 2483 MHz. However, the likelihood that you use the same as your neighbor’s is very high. So, if you want to increase the internet speed in your home, one of the tricks you can use is to analyze the condition of the channels around you using apps like Wifi Analyzer and switch to the one that is most recommended for you.

The first Dacia hybrid. "The cheapest hybrid family on the market"

BUT Dacia revealed this Monday that the hybrid engine has been available since March on the Jogger, the Romanian brand’s model known to be available with a seven-seat variant.

The Jogger Hybrid 140, Dacia’s first hybrid, will hit dealerships in March, but customers can expect and order it as early as January.

The price has been revealed by Dacia and since it’s only available in the seven-seater SL Extreme, it starts at €28,800. The brand claims it is “the most affordable hybrid family car on the market.”

Available in six existing colors to celebrate the launch of this hybrid, there will be a slate gray version, as you can see in the images above.

Equipped with a 1.6 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 90 hp, the Jogger is also powered by two electric motors (a 50 hp engine and a high-voltage starter-generator). The total power is 140 horsepower. The electric transmission is automatic, four-speed, connected to an internal combustion engine, and two speeds are connected to an electric motor. This combined technology was possible, according to Dacia, only due to the lack of clutch.

Combined with the energy recovery levels of the 1.2kWh (230V) battery pack and the efficiency of the automatic transmission, regenerative braking delivers all-electric traction on 80% of urban journeys and saves up to 40% of fuel compared to a combustion engine vehicle.
