CNPJ passa por processo de modernização

The Federal Tax Service published last week (12.06) a new IN CNPJ. The goal is to simplify and reduce the bureaucracy in tax procedures, which will allow updating the new legal framework related to the subject.

Among the main innovations, the new IN provides for a reduction in additional tax liabilities for those who require a temporary suspension of their activities. According to the publication, there will no longer be a need for RFB tax credit declarations triggering events that have occurred since the suspension was confirmed.

IN also reflects the refinement and evolution of the National Network for Facilitating the Registration and Legalization of Companies and Enterprises (Redesim) project.

Other important topics of the new CNPJ IN are:

  • differentiated legal treatment for start-ups and innovative companies in accordance with Supplemental Law No. 167 of April 24, 2019;
  • changes arising from the Law on the Business Environment (Law No. 14195 of August 26, 2021) on issues related to the Federal Revenue Service;
  • ex officio notification of changes in the registration situation in the CNPJ, decisions and acts of the Federal Revenue Service;
  • the consequences of the cancellation or suspension of the CNPJ;
  • liquidation of an Individual Limited Liability Company (EIRELI), the legal form of which has been replaced by a limited liability company, which is an individual entrepreneur;
  • regulation of dismissal in connection with the death of MPEI (KGSIM resolution No. 48 dated October 11, 2018), simplification of tax obligations of taxpayers and their representatives and reduction of the possibility of fraud in the Federal Tax Service of a deceased taxpayer;
  • regulation of the subject’s virtual institution;
  • issuance of a certificate of absence of the applicant’s relationship as a representative, partner or administrator;
  • reformulation of the ultimate beneficiary.

The overall structure of the new CNPJ IN is a more logical organization and more clarity in providing information to make it easier to understand. These efforts are part of several initiatives aimed at improving the business environment in Brazil. The CNPJ, the National Registry of Legal Entities, contains a core database of information relating to entrepreneurs, legal entities and their equivalents, and other entities of public interest.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.

According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”

In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.

The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.

In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.

From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.

Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.

“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
