Veteran actor Gary Sinise, who received an Oscar nomination for his role in “Forrest Gump,” aims for small profits at Calabasas. Records show that his stylish farmhouse is on the market for $ 3,795 million – just a little more than the $ 3.55 million he paid during the 2008 housing crisis.

This property occupies half a hectare of land, including a 5,300-square-foot house, a charming guest suite, and a backyard with a swimming pool, spa and bridge over the koi pond.

Built in 2006, this two-storey house offers formal and informal shared spaces with white walls, hardwood floors, high ceilings and special details. The fireplace anchors the living room and family room, and the dining room has paneled walls.

Elsewhere there are five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, including a master bedroom with a sitting room and private balcony. On the other side of the house, some of Juliet’s balconies face the neighborhood.

French doors open to the back, where there is a tombstone yard, a pillar terrace and an outdoor living room with a fireplace and grill. City light can be seen from a distance.

Kimberley Pfeiffer from Compass holds the listing.

Sinise, 65, won the Golden Globe for her role in “Truman” in 1995 and Emmy for her role in the “George Wallace” miniseries. Other important credits include “Of Mice and Men,” “Apollo 13” and “CSI: NY.”
