Abel Ferreira asked the Portuguese club to return early from the Academy - 08/06/2021

Dudu, Deyverson and Borja. For about a month, three forwards dominated the news for the club. All loans are running out. Daverson is already training. Dudu comes out only with a “very good” offer. But the loaned player who really piqued Abel Ferreira’s interest, even motivating his request for an early release from Nacional da Ilha da Madeira, was Pedrau’s defender.

The Portuguese coach has demanded that the club in his home country release him until the last 23 May so that he can join Alviverde during the international transfers that ended that day. The request was denied.

Nacional, the teenage side of Cristiano Ronaldo, eventually moved to Portugal’s second division, but Pedrau’s performance was praised. Becke played in 30 of 34 rounds of the championship, having played 90 minutes of all matches.

Pedrau scored his only goal for the club in a 3-1 defeat to Benfica in the first of three consecutive defeats that propelled the team into a low league in the last stretch of the Liga NÓS.

The 24-year-old defender uncovered by Agua Santa arrived in Palmeiras in 2016 and rose to professional status in 2018, but has not proven himself at the club. He played just two times – one of them – in the 2020 Florida Cup won by Palestra. It was then leased to América-MG and Athletico-PR rather than Nacional. Pedrão has a contract with Palmeiras until the end of 2022.

ABOUT UOL It turned out that the player’s plans to stay in Europe, in some team of the first division. The people involved in the negotiations don’t believe Nacional will have the clout to hire Pedrao – unless there is a tie-in purchase scheme where the player is acquired with a transfer agreement to a larger team, which is common practice on the continent.

If none of this happens, Pedrao will return to Palmeiras and will be able to play from August.

Alan Emperer lives on the other side of the coin

Working on anticipation of Pedrao’s possible return, Palmeiras has a player on his team who lives in the opposite situation – and from the same sector of the pitch.

Alan Empereur is on loan in Palmeiras until the end of the month. He has not reached the 60% mark in games that would contractually oblige the club to acquire its economic rights from Hellas Verona (ITA).

But Palmeiras wants a defender and is already discussing alternatives with the Italian club.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro de Braga is the first Portuguese in the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba.

Maestro Filipe Cunha, Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Braga, has been invited to conduct the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra, as announced today.

According to a statement sent by O MINHO, “he will be the first Portuguese conductor to conduct this orchestra in its entire history.”

In addition to this orchestra, the maestro will also work with the Lyceo Mozarteum de la Habana Symphony Orchestra.

The concerts will take place on 4 and 12 March 2023 at the National Theater of Cuba in Havana.

In the words of the maestro, quoted in the statement, “these will be very beautiful concerts with difficult but very complex pieces” and therefore he feels “very motivated”.

From the very beginning, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed by an Italian pianist (Luigi Borzillo), whom the maestro wants to bring to Portugal later this year. In the same concert, Mendelshon’s First Symphony will be performed.

Then, at the second concert, in the company of the Mexican clarinetist Angel Zedillo, he will perform the Louis Sfora Concerto No. 2. In this concert, the maestro also conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

“This is an international recognition of my work. An invitation that I accept with humility and great responsibility. I was surprised to learn that I would be the first Portuguese member of the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra. This is a very great honor,” the maestro said in a statement.

“I take with me the name of the city of Braga and Portugal with all the responsibility that goes with it, and I hope to do a good job there, leaving a good image and putting on great concerts. These will be very special concerts because, in addition to performing pieces that I love, especially Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky, I will be directing two wonderful soloists who are also my friends. It will be very beautiful,” concludes Filipe Cunha.
