DJ Eddie Ferrer, 43, died of an aneurysm. While recovering from an operation he underwent in a hospital in Istanbul, Turkey, Zulmira Ferreira’s son and coach Jesualdo Ferreira’s stepson passed away early this Saturday.
“It is with deep regret that we inform you that DJ Eddie Ferrer left us early this morning.” A message arrived via Whatsapp on a friends cell phone this Saturday morning announcing the deaths of Zulmira Ferreira’s son and coach Jesualdo Ferreira’s stepson, hours after it was revealed he had undergone complex surgery after suffering an aneurysm.
Eduardo (his real name) was recovering from an operation in a hospital in Istanbul. He left at dawn at the age of 42 while preparing for another international gig. The DJ was on his way to Qatar, where he was going to perform under the pretext of the World Cup, when he felt unwell during a stopover in Turkey.
Urgently admitted to Safak Hastanesi Hospital, he was soon intervened. The first news showed that everything would have gone well, but in the last hours everything started rushing, dictating the most undesirable outcome.
Zulmira “flew” to Turkey as soon as she found out about the incident, and until the end she was next to her only child. At a time when she was divided between Portugal and Egypt, where her husband, Jesualdo Ferreira, is coaching Zamalek, the Red Carpet (SIC) commentator suffers a heavy blow, mourning the death of Eduardo, with whom she was very close.
In a general message, the family is grateful for the messages received and asks to “respect this moment of deep pain.”
