It is unknown if Microsoft missed out on this feature because it didn’t complete it in time or because of a strategic decision. However, given what was found in the registry, it is likely that this was due to a lack of time. So in the final version, we may have this new feature.

To move the Windows 11 panel to the top, we have to use the Windows Registry.

So go to Windows Search and type Regedit. After the right side, click Open to open the app.

In the meantime, a window appears asking if we want to allow the app to make changes to our device. Click Yes.

Now we need to navigate to Computer HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Explorer StuckRects3.

Now change the value we marked, that is 03, which is just below F3, to 01. Then click OK.

Now we need to go to Task Manager to restart Windows Explorer.

Therefore, use the key combination CRTL + ALT + DEL. Then select Task Manager.

When you open Task Manager, click on “Details” and you will see everything that works.

Now find Windows Explorer and right click on this process. Then select the “Restart” option.

The menu will now appear at the top. However, notifications and even options appear the same as before when you open the Start menu. It’s just a bar to move from bottom to top.
