Windows 11: Microsoft may come back to silence users

Whenever a new operating system comes on the market, it comes with modifications and not everyone can get used to it in the best way. Some people like it, some don’t like it, and it will always be so. Now that Windows 11 has arrived, one of the biggest complaints has been about the toolbar. The point is not so much that it is thinner or thicker, but in the loss of functionality. However, people can no longer drag and drop apps to the taskbar. Meanwhile, in August, some users Reddit got together and made a list of “requirements.” Now here, Microsoft can go back to the Windows 11 taskbar issue to silence users, and that’s good news.

Windows 11: Microsoft may come back to silence users

A source linked to Microsoft said today that the manufacturer is really paying attention to user feedback and that this feature will return in Windows 11 version 22H2. That is, the October update.

This is great news for those who don’t want to miss out on some of the Windows 10 features.

But there are still problems with the taskbar. For example, people want to bring it back wherever they want. For a while, and with a trick in the registry, I could still put it at the top. However, Microsoft later blocked this.

However, users want Microsoft to remove what they call ludicrous claims. This is because they tested Windows 11 on unsupported and older computers and everything worked better than it did with Windows 10.

Another request is related to the presence of folders in the Start menu.

Another request is to remove the recommended apps section. Instead, they prefer to show the checked apps. While this is helpful, many people dislike this section and for good reason.

From the very beginning, it takes up most of the Start menu without showing anything useful.

Subsequently, and for those who use a shared computer, it shows what applications we usually use. In addition, work is required to remove items from the list, and at the same time, it is not possible to clear the entire section. In fact, for many, this section should be in the search, where popular apps, recent and quick searches are displayed.

At the moment section recommended it cannot be minimized or completely disappeared. But you can hide what is there.

So you need to go to Settings.

Then select “Personalize”. Finally, select “Start”.

Disable the following: Show recently added apps. Also do the same in Show Recently Opened Items In Start Menu, Jump Lists, and File Explorer. Thus, the “Recommend” area in Windows 11 will be empty.

To restore the apps in this section, simply follow the reverse process of what I mentioned above, enabling the options instead of disabling them.
