Windows 11: Free upgrade to Windows 7 and up!

Windows 11 is the next major version of Microsoft’s operating system. Yesterday we talked about the possibility of creating a free operating system. It is now known that Windows 11 will be a free upgrade for those with Windows 10, but not only. Unless users can also update Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 without spending a dime. This is done using applications such as the Media Creation Tool or the upgrade wizard.

In fact, this is reliable information. Owners of these legacy versions with a genuine license can upgrade for free through Windows Update. This is based on the configuration keys found inside Pkeyconfig (product key configuration package) in an assembly that appeared online for Windows 11. The configuration file assumes there is an upgrade method for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 users.

As you can see in the image above posted on the Windows Latest website, the Windows 11 build includes the necessary configuration files that allow Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 users to install the update directly using the official tools.

But is Windows 11 something completely different?
