Diesel and gasoline actually rose above a dime a liter every week.

The announcement was fulfilled: diesel fuel rose more than 10 cents per liter in a week, and gasoline – more than 12 cents.

Refilling a 50-litre diesel tank now costs about five euros more than a week ago. In a petrol car, this is at least six euros more.

Let’s move on to the official average prices, according to data released on Tuesday by the Directorate General of Energy and Geology.

Compared to Monday last week, this Monday prices for simple diesel has risen in price by 10.4 cents per liter to the current 1856 euros. Already those of special diesel fuel has risen in price by 12.2 cents per liter at a sales price of 1904 euros.

For gasoline more than for diesel, there were two growth factors in one week: one due to world prices for petroleum products and tax increases. Remember that last week, government cut ISP cut, reducing it this month by 0.1 cents per liter of diesel fuel and by 4.4 cents per liter of gasoline. The justification given by the Ministry of Finance was the fall in fuel prices.

Due to the increase in the tax burden gasoline 95 has risen in price by 1.24 cents per liter from one week to the next, up to 1825 euros, and special gasoline 95 has risen in price by 13.8 centsfor 1863 euros.

Me and gasoline 98 rose in price by 12.2 cents per liter at a price of 2053 euros, and special gasoline 98 has risen in price by 13.3 centsfor 2086 euros.

With this increase, diesel fuel prices are the highest since the beginning of September. Gasoline, by contrast, has been the most expensive since early August.

All prices are again higher than on the eve of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which took place on February 24 this year.

Diesel is the fuel that has increased the most since the start of the war. Its final selling price is no higher just because the government reduced the weight of taxes in May, to a measure that remains – and will remain in 2023, according to the state budget proposal presented this Monday.
