The President of Kazakhstan does not recognize the independence of the self-proclaimed regions. For Nuno Rogueiro and José Milhazes, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s position was an example of “great courage”.

“The Kremlin also tried to award him a medal, one of the highest awards, and he [Presidente do Cazaquistão] he refused to do so, saying that as long as he is president, he will not accept awards,” Milhazes said.

The SIC commentator also clarified that the Russian press reacted negatively to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s statements, but the Kremlin remains silent “because it knows that Kazakhstan has excellent relations with Beijing.”

In this Sunday comment, Nuno Rogueiro highlighted the role of women in the war, many of whom are fighting Russian forces.

“They are in all branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the SIC observer said.

In the field of unusual episodes, José Milhazes brought a request from the Russian commander. Thousands of underwear, socks and toilet paper rolls were requested from the municipality of the Russian city. The mayor reacted immediately and sent a request to the market managers to help get to the Russian troops.
