Volvo: electric vehicles will have 1000 km of autonomy

Manufacturers are betting heavily on electric mobility and are trying to improve some of the features that could deter consumers from buying an electric vehicle. In this case, Volvo announced that its future electric vehicles will have 1,000 km of autonomy.

Moreover, the manufacturer guarantees that they load twice as fast.



As previously announced, Volvo will no longer produce thermal imaging vehicles in 2030. After this time horizon, the manufacturer's proposal will consist exclusively of 100% electric vehicles.

In addition, it was recently announced that alliance with Northvolt for the development and production of batteries. Through this partnership, the manufacturer intends to increase the specific energy of the cells by 50% to reach 1000 Wh / L, resulting in an autonomy of 1000 km.

Volvo and the future of trams

Along with promising battery life, the company aims to halve charging times by 2025. Moreover, Volvo will place the batteries on the floor of the car, taking advantage of the design and increasing the rigidity of the kit. Thus, cars will provide much more safety.
