UAn Indian family with a convenience store in Southwick, Massachusetts returned the $ 1 million prize (approximately € 820,000) to a customer who threw it away without scraping it off.

Last March, regular customer Lea Rose Fiega bought a $ 30 (around € 24) scratch card from Aruna Shah, a parent of the family who apparently did not have a prize. Lee has been going to the store since it opened five years ago and always buys scratch cards.

It should be noted that premium scratch cards fit in a container on the counter, just like Lea Rose’s scratch cards.

However, ten days later, Abhi Shah, a 30-year-old son, was dumping the container when he noticed that one of the scratch cards (costing a $ 30 stick) was not completely shaved. When he scratched and saw the prize that was in it, Abhi confessed that he was thinking about everything the family could do with the money. “We were in conflict. We didn’t sleep for two nights, but I don’t know what happened. My soul told me: “This is wrong, you know who this person is, you have to return it.” And that’s exactly what we did, “he said. Lea Rose Fiega is expected to return to the store on March 29th. Not showing up, they went to her office. Abhi Shah recalls that the woman thought she had forgotten to pay something. “No, everything is okay. It will change your life, ”I said. Seeing the note, he burst into tears.

Lea Rose was so grateful to the Shah family that she gave them part of their retirement funds. In addition, according to the Massachusetts Lottery, the family received $ 10,000 (about 8,200 euros) for the sale of the ticket.
