UK competition authority wants public opinion on Activision purchase

The UK Competition and Trade Authority (CMA) is asking the public for their views on the $69 billion deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.

It was probably enough to go to Twitter, but the CMA wants to continue the second phase of the investigation, which focuses on possible problem areas that may arise after the approval of this transaction.

CMA intends to evaluate the potential impact of the deal on subscription services from other companies, the future of cloud gaming, and the availability of Activision content on competing platforms.

The CMA now invites everyone to comment on a purchase, even members of the public interested in expressing their opinion. This is an opportunity to talk about the benefits or problems for the business, but in the future it will be possible to comment on the business again, but with an emphasis on possible solutions to the problems.

CMA advises that it may not be able to respond to all emails received, but welcomes the participation of any interested party.

While the CMA investigation is the most widely discussed, there are other investigations currently underway, such as the one being conducted by European Union authorities and the US Federal Department of Commerce.
