President Trump praised the organizers of the lockout protest in Albany earlier this month, calling it the “Big Meeting.”

“Great rally and extraordinary work at @ fweekend this morning. It all happened! #MAGA, ” Trump posted on Twitter Sunday morning.

The president is connected with a tweet from Cara Castronuova, who spoke about the May 1 rally on “Fox & Friends” the previous Sunday.

“# LiberateNY @ realDonaldTrump We need you !! Protesters in Albany for New York Open Business & defend #CivilLiberties #ConstitutionalRights, “he wrote on Twitter last Wednesday.

Castronuova said he was headed to Albany to protest Cuomo’s closure order because he protected him and other civil liberties.

“The Cuomo government overstepped its power when it carried out all executive orders to ban freedom of association and to close the country,” he said on the show. “There are many people who feel this way besides me, so I feel I have to go up there and be their voice.”

The governor allowed several regions in the state to start opening phase one on Friday, but extended home stay orders for areas that had not yet reopened until May 28 and continued emergencies until June 13.

At his Saturday briefing, Cuomo urged citizens not to be complacent.

“You control what happens. How you act will determine what happens, “he said. “If people are smart, then yes, you will see an increase in numbers, but you will not see spikes.”

“Be smart, be diligent and don’t underestimate this virus,” he added.
