TikTok remains the king of apps, and Telegram is ahead of another competitor

In addition to the competitive market for smartphones, there is in parallel another environment of increased competition in the area of applications. They try to captivate users with a constant presence and are therefore widely used.

If until recently Facebook completely dominated this market, then the last few months have shown new realities. TikTok has taken the lead in this area and is increasingly entering this area. There are still others that may grow and leave behind the offerings of the largest social network on the Internet.

The app market is growing

While TikTok is nothing new in the app space, it has grown in unique ways over the past few months. Gone are the problems that the previous US administration tried to impose on this social network and questioned its availability.

The move proved to be beneficial for TikTok, which attracted users and eventually grew worldwide. This scenario is now visible again with the latest data for October 2021.

TikTok continues to dominate

Although it only dominates the Apple app store, its global position will not fail to put this social network at the top of the global offerings. Thanks to its third position on the Play Store, TikTok has become the app with the most downloads.

TikTok's position has been achieved with over 57 million downloads and installations on smartphones. The main markets that have achieved these numbers are China with 17% of downloads, followed by the United States, which accounts for 11% of these downloads.

Telegram doesn't stop growing either

While the TikTok scenario was already known, others seem to be taking shape in this aggressive and highly competitive marketplace. We now have more evidence that messaging apps seem to be picking up steam and leaving Facebook's offerings behind. Here's what we see when Telegram surpassed Messenger in terms of downloads.

Interestingly, completely out of context, we have a new app that is growing in the Apple App Store. We are talking about the National Center for Combating Fraud, which has already reached the third position. It is a Chinese application designed to filter incoming calls and spam messages on your smartphone, as well as block malicious apps.
