Three were fatally stabbed in NYC during Memorial Day Weekend

Three people were stabbed to death within 12 hours over Memorial Day weekend, the NYPD said Monday.

Police found Deidre Borders, 56, with several stab wounds in his body in Staten Island’s room at around 11:45 am Sunday, police said.

A second-floor tenant called police to the homes of two families on Osgood Avenue after not hearing from Borders “for a while” and saw the woman through a window that lay unresponsive in a first-floor apartment, police said.

EMS responded but could not save the Border. He died at the scene.

The police believe the woman was killed.

Then on Sunday, a 23-year-old man died after being stabbed in the stomach, back and neck outside 1129 Blake Avenue in East New York just before 6:45, according to police.

The man, whose name was not released due to family notification, was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Another man was stabbed to death three hours later in the Fordham Manor area of ​​The Bronx on Sunday, according to the NYPD.

The 37-year-old man, who was not named, was stabbed several times near the intersection of 195 Street and Marion Avenue and died after being taken to St. Hospital. Barnabas, said the police.

A 29-year-old man was arrested but had not been prosecuted until Monday morning.

It is not clear what triggered the fatal meeting.
