The President of the Legislative Assembly of Maranhao, Deputy Otelino Neto (PCdoB), this Saturday (2) in Timbiras took part in another act of support for the re-election of Governor Carlos Brandão (PSB) and former Governor Flavio Dino (PSB) . ) to the Federal Senate.
The event, organized by Mayor António Borba and Deputy Mayor Negiño das Flores, who also support Otelino Neto’s re-election as a state deputy, drew a massive presence of Timbirans, supporters of the “Maranhao Can’t Stop” movement.
In the act, the head of the Legislative Assembly of Maranhao highlighted the work already done in the municipality, the achievements under his parliamentary mandate and carried out by the state government.
“How nice it is to walk around Timbiras and see government works in its four corners. Through our partnership, we were able to build the long-awaited Santarém Bridge, Popular Restaurant, Praça da Familia, and cobbled streets and avenues. Without a doubt, with Carlos Brandão and Felipe Camarao, our team will remain strong and united, because the work must continue,” said Otelino.
In his speech, former governor Flavio Dino assured that the group represents a continuity of change in the state. “Maranhao has improved, moved forward and cannot stop. That is why we have signed this great commitment with Timbiras, where we provide several services, guaranteeing greater social justice, which is the main sign of our management,” he said.

The mayor of Timbiras, Antonio Borba, thanked the political group, which he said is fighting for improvements and has done a lot of good for the municipality in favor of local development.
“Firstly, I thank Deputy Otelino for conveying our demands to the state government, as well as the then Governor Flavio Dino for fulfilling them. Thanks to this amount of effort, we have managed to move forward in our management,” said Borba.
Also participating in the political act were former education minister Felipe Camarao, a candidate for lieutenant governor; Senator Elisian Gama and Federal MP Marcio Jerry, a preliminary candidate for re-election.
