The New York City theme park will finally reopen on Monday – when the Big Apple enters phase 2 of the reopening of the closure caused by coronavirus, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Thursday.

“For playgrounds intended for younger children with playground equipment specifically intended for children to rest for exercise … We are ready to open it on Monday,” de Blasio told a City Hall daily press conference. .

Hizzoner warned that “it is very important to use hand sanitizers, then wash your hands.”

“This is another step in the right direction starting on Monday,” de Blasio said after announcing that the city would also allow dinner out starting Monday.

This step was taken after the mayor faced increasing pressure from elected city officials to open playgrounds in five areas.

Some Brooklyn police officers even dealt with it themselves and recently broke the chain of closed playgrounds so children could play.

Restaurants and bars can be opened for outdoor dining in Phase 2, as well as office space, real estate services, in-store retailing, haircuts and hair salons, car dealers and houses of worship – all with limited capacity.
