The government has decided to increase the incentive for the introduction of low-emission vehicles from 4 million to 4.5 million euros. Strengthening will be received by those who buy electric bicycles, but also ordinary ones.
“An incentive is being created for the introduction of low-emission vehicles into consumption, with a global allocation of four million five hundred thousand euros”, – can be read in office published in Diário da República on Tuesday. This is an increase of 500 thousand euros over the initial allocation.
The amount is not intended for the purchase of electric vehicles. The order only changes the number of awards given to vehicles of 4 and 5 types. In other words, electric and conventional bicycles, respectively. In electric bicycles, “reward units will be issued up to a maximum limit of 3142 units, ordered according to the date and time of the reward application,” he says. The total estimated amount will be from 650 thousand to 1.1 million euros.
For the regular, “incentive units will be awarded up to a maximum limit of 1000 units, ranked according to the date and time of the application for the promotion.” The cost ranges from 50 thousand to 100 thousand euros.
In other words, the government of Antonio Costa has over 1,785 “checks” for the purchase of bicycles.
According to the Environmental Fund, 2,769 applications were received for b.100% electric bicycles, motorcycles and mopeds. Of these, 1,300 have already been adopted. There were 1,349 applications for regular bicycles, of which 613 were approved.
