A Florida woman who called 911 four times Wednesday to request a ride to the nearest town was given a ride to jail instead, authorities said.

Sarah Alameh, 31, from Eagle Lake, which is 60 miles southwest of Orlando, was charged with misuse of 911, Winter Haven Police Department words in Facebook posts.

Alameh first called the emergency line at 2:45 in the morning and said “hello” before hanging up, the department said. The clerk went to the location of the call and did not find anyone. He made a second call at 3 am and the call was disconnected.

Officers responded to the same location and found Alameh in the hospital parking lot. He told officers that she was a woman who called and needed a ride to another city

An officer warned him that 911 was only for an emergency call and told him to leave the property unless he needed medical help. Alameh walked away and called 911 again to complain about the clerk.

“This time, he wanted to complain that the officer did not provide the services he needed – take a taxi sponsored by taxpayers,” the Facebook post read. “AGAIN, the officers told him that he had to leave immediately and not call 9-1-1 if he did not have an emergency.”

“Can you guess what happened again?” post continued. “Of course you can – another 9-1-1 call comes from the same number.”

Officers responded and took Alameh to the Polk District Prison.
