The court rejects Britney Spears’ request. Father will continue guardianship
ABOUT The court rejected Britney Spears’ motion at a hearing last week. Thus, the singer’s father will guard her property, even after the accusations of the celebrity shocking fans and his request to remove his father from the position he held for 13 years.
The news was prepared by the entertainment site TMZ., which emphasizes that Jamie Spears will continue to carry the same responsibility, “at least for the time being.”
Last November, Spears’ attorney Sam Ingham had already asked to replace Jamie with the Bessemer Trust, the company that would be fully responsible for managing the star’s assets, but the judge then turned down the request.
However, a few months later, Britney’s legal counsel decided to file a new proposal and demand that the office in question be appointed to the position of trustee, which the judge acknowledged, noting, however, that control would be transferred to the singer’s father.
