Having conquered the roads, electric vehicles are now starting to move to other areas with much less tar content. These are pickups and similar vehicles that are electrified and are a viable alternative.

GM had a classic in its offering and decided to adapt it to modern times. This is the well-known Hummer electric vehicle, which is now finally being delivered to customers and is thus gaining ground in a very interesting market where Tesla Cybertruck would be the only one.

GM wants to make big bets on electric models

Everyone is probably familiar with the gasoline models of the Hummer line. For several years, they have been the benchmark in the market and the choice of many. Such was their strength that they were chosen to play an important role in the US military.

The same model has recently been adapted to a new paradigm and has therefore been electrified. GM wanted to preserve its legacy and provided it with a set of additional features that made it virtually unique in the market.

Hummer EV begins to attract customers

According to year-end delivery plans, deliveries of the Hummer EV were to begin at any time. This process has already begun and the first devices are finally reaching the first customers.

This is the start of a process that will lead to GM's 30 new electric vehicles. They will use the Ultium platform, which is already serving as the foundation for the new Hummer EV and other offerings such as BrightDrop EV600...

Strong competitor to Tesla pickup truck Cybertruck

With features like CrabWalk or Super Cruise, the Hummer EV will show itself as a unique electric vehicle. It's a big pickup, but GM promises to go from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3 seconds.

The prices that GM's offering will hit the market at are not low, which makes Tesla-like competition more relaxed. However, it will be a strong competitor to the Cybertruck and other pickups coming soon to the market.
