The last farewell to Rogerio Zamora took place this Saturday at the Estrela Basilica in Lisbon. Family and friends have gathered to pay tribute to the actor who died at the age of 62 last Wednesday, December 15th. Alexandra Lencaster, Maria João Bastos, José Raposo and Conceizau Queiroz were some of those present at the funeral ceremonies.
Leaving the Basilica after the solemn mass, those present were overcome with emotion, and many could not hold back their tears after hearty applause.
Cousin Carlos Zamora, who monitored the artist’s health from the first minutes, thanked for the support of those who were close to the family at a time of deep sadness. “I felt supported. There were half a dozen people who were with us from the first hour, but I honestly expected more, ”he said. CM, referring to the few people who showed up at the funeral: “But everyone knew how to do justice to this Rogerio moment. And no one will forget about him. ”
Despite the expectation of hugging Rogerio again, this was already the expected result for a family member who always remained close to the actor. “There were 148 days of struggle, to come to him every other day and see how the situation gets worse. Of course, I could not transfer it abroad, but we lost Rogerio on July 20th. The actor’s body was sent to the Alcabideche crematorium in Cascais.
