FROMDid you know that you can pay taxes by direct debit? By sticking to this means of payment, you end up avoiding forgetfulness and, as a result, non-compliance with tax authorities.

In the Financial Portal, the Tax Authority (AT) highlights the following Benefits of Paying Taxes with Direct Debit:

  1. Stop worrying about the timing of your tax obligations and thus avoid late fees and interest;
  2. You no longer need to drive to pay taxes and waste time in lines;
  3. You know the amounts due in advance as AT sends a debit notice to your account approximately 14 days before the expiry date, so if any anomaly is found you can always deactivate/change it. and also check whether the bank account is secured with the required amount;
  4. You can change or deactivate a previously authorized direct debit order at any time.
