Erik Choupo-Moting will inform the Bavarian authorities of his intention to leave the club

Following the Robert Lewandowski controversy, Bayern got word this Friday that Eric Choupo-Moting, the Pole’s regular replacement, is also set to leave the club this summer, according to Bild newspaper.

The Cameroonian striker has another year on his contract with the Bavarians, but, as in the case of Leva, he has shown a willingness to move to another team.

According to the source, Choupo-Moting, 33, was the target of a financially attractive offer from Qatar, which he intends to accept.

If both exits are confirmed, while the Bavarians’ targets in the market – Sadio Mane and Sasa Kalajdzic (Stuttgart) – are yet to be determined, only the young Joshua Zirkzee will remain the only striker available to Julian Nagelsmann.

Eric Choupo-Moting joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2020 from PSG. This season, the striker has scored nine goals and made five assists in 26 games played.
