The pop five, known for hits like One For Sorrow, Tragedy and Love’s Got A Hold On My Heart back in the 1990s, will release a new album later this year and tour in late 2021.

“We couldn’t keep it a secret anymore !!” This is stated in a post on the official Steps Twitter account on Monday night.

“Our new album, What The Future Holds, is due out on November 27th and is available for pre-order from 8am tomorrow!”

It was followed by a series of cryptic posts featuring Steps stars referring to the past and the future, one of which featured a crystal ball.

Steps – Claire Richards, Lee Lutchford-Evans, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Ian “X” Watkins – were formed in the 1990s as a pop group with a choreographic program that fans could dance to.

They released three platinum albums and two UK number one singles before they disbanded in 2001.

The singers have pursued solo careers in music and theater, and the band originally got together for a tour in 2012.
