Renewables are increasingly becoming a part of the future, and contrary to what you might think, they are not limited to buildings. With the emergence of new housing concepts and the constant development of automobiles, the human mind knows no boundaries.

Solar Team Eindhoven, a team of 22 students from Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, has just unveiled the world’s first solar-powered mobile home. Stella Vita, as they called it, can travel up to 730 kilometers and is completely autonomous.

Although it doesn’t have room in a regular home, it has room to sleep, eat, personal hygiene, and enough energy to “drive, shower, watch TV, carry a laptop, and make coffee,” the team explains. When the car is stationary, the roof can be opened, which allows the panels to expand to reach 17.5 square meters and, of course, there is more space and comfort inside.

Kjell Revenberg, Coordinator of Solar Team Eindhoven, says: “They are the future, the next generation, and they can help and accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future. To accelerate this transition, we will inspire as many people in Europe as possible for a sustainable future throughout our journey. ”

It is true, the group is set to travel to the south of Spain and will leave the Dutch city on September 19. The trip is expected to last one month.
