About Spotify resumed its Play Your Part campaign, an initiative to encourage voters to create their own political podcasts.
This measure comes ahead of the midterm elections in USAscheduled for November 8th. Elections renew Congress, local legislatures and governors in 36 of the country’s 50 states.
According to streaming audio, millions of users have already been encouraged to vote in local elections in France, Germany, and even Brazil through Play Your Part.
“As the US moves into the midterm cycle, we once again urge listeners to make their voices heard through the power of the vote, and support artists and officials who want to do the same.” these streaming platform.
To encourage voting, Spotify has created a virtual living room. There, guest artists and podcasters will be able to call their fans and talk about politics and elections. Participants will receive unbranded custom assets to use on their platforms.
Another measure was the construction center user resources. There, students will be able to use the tools Bulletin readywhich details each of the U.S. candidates, and Turbo votingfor general voting information for novice voters.
Spotify also said it will work with North American podcasts such as “Call Her Daddy” and “Not Past It” to encourage listeners to vote.
The platform created an original playlist called “Focus on the Midterms”. “[O objetivo é] help voters focus on studying their ballots,” Spotify said.
