“The Portuguese Sports Club beat AEK HC tonight with a score of 31-30, taking the leading position in Group D of the European Handball League EHF.

What was supposed to be a celebration of Leonino’s next success, unfortunately, ended with episodes of violence in the vicinity of the João Rocha pavilion.

A group of ten Greek fans who came to Lisbon to support their team, after leaving the venue, were attacked by a group of other fans, who were later protected inside the pavilion.

Sporting CP strongly condemns this episode and will provide all necessary support to the competent authorities to determine responsibility. The club rejects such behavior that contradicts its beliefs about how to be and live in sports. ”
