PINE HALL, N.C. – The North Carolina racetrack has lost several partnerships after its owner advertised “Bubba Rope” for sale online a few days after NASCAR said noose was found in the garage garage at Bubba Wallace, the only major Black series racer.

A concrete company and a series of drivers ended their partnership on Friday with a 311 km fast track at Speedway in Stokes County, the Winston-Salem Journal reported.

Posting “Bubba Rope” horse race owner on the Facebook Marketplace earlier this week sparked a reaction on social media and condemnation from Governor Roy Cooper’s spokesman.

“Buy your Bubba Rope today for only $ 9.99 each, they come with a lifetime guarantee and work well,” the post said.

The Carolina Sprint Tour posted on its Facebook page that they would not race on the speedway for the rest of the season, according to the newspaper.

“We do not condone or endorse comments and posts made last week,” the series said in an online post.

A concrete company also said it was cutting all ties with the speedway.

NASCAR officials released photos of the rope found on Sunday at the Wallace garage kiosk which prompted a federal investigation, which confirmed that the rope had been there since October. The incident came less than two weeks after NASCAR banned the Confederate flag from its place and race at Wallace’s insistence.
