The Spanish defense are about to end their relationship with the Santiago Bernabeu club and are preparing, according to French press reports, to join the emblem of Paris.

Sergio Ramos is set to become an officially free player as his contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30 and, according to L’Equipe, he is set to sign with Paris Saint-Germain until 2023.

The French sports newspaper reported on Tuesday that talks between Paris officials and Spain’s international defense have intensified in recent hours. The agreement will be announced shortly.

PSG intended, L’Equipe clarifies, only to offer Sergio Ramos a one-season contract (ending in 2022), but the 35-year-old center-back was adamant and demanded two years of ties.

Although the French capital has no “white smoke”, Sergio Ramos will be able to sign any club from this Wednesday, and PSG is not the only one interested in his services, according to Spanish sports daily Marca.
