Selma Blair posted a loving tribute to her late mother, Molly Cooke, who died at home in Michigan over the weekend at the age of 82.

Describing Cooke as “tough, funny, fast, flashy, and generous,” Blair writes about his mother’s selflessness and her career as a judge.

“He often gives the shirt from his back, a trait I have adopted. A gift from himself. My mother is a smart judge and the only woman [sic] in her law school class, “Blair wrote beside the old Cooke photo on her wedding day.

“He was my first style icon, inspiration, and gift. All my life, I have watched that gift. And, now, that was a very strange feeling to soften my gaze. “

The “Cruel Intentions” star, 47, said her mother had “many friends and admirers” and an expansive family, including Blair’s son Arthur.

“Our lives will never be the same again. Ma’am, Arthur understands you very sweetly and I am grateful and glad you love him, “Blair, who is fighting against multiple sclerosis, continues.

“Thank you for your love, your loyalty. Usually, it is when we are women together as sisters, when we can better show what is genuine you, ma’am. Big.”

Cooke graduated from the Law School of the University of Detroit-Mercy and worked as a lawyer for more than 50 years, according to the news of his death. He served as a Workers ‘Compensation Judge and was a member of the Workers’ Compensation Hall of Fame. Cooke also received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Polish American Legal Community for 32 years of outstanding public service.

Blair’s younger sister, Katherine, also respects her late mother on Instagram, writing“The most beautiful girl in the world … At least for us she is … She is a very smart and stylish mother of four girls whom she loves more than anything. We will miss her without limits.”
