The Samsung Galaxy S21 is a beautiful and powerful smartphone that quickly captured the hearts of consumers. And of all the impressive specs, one of the brightest is the power of its cameras.

In that sense, a recent experiment made the Galaxy S21 Ultra dive into the Maldives, where it snapped some great pictures.

The partnership between Samsung and Nat Geo Traveler India has led the South Korean brand to an interesting experience. On the official Samsung India YouTube channel, the brand presented the one he calls "the first underwater expedition captured on a smartphone." In the background was literally a diving Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in the waters of the Maldives.

In this experience, one of the goals of the Asian brand was to highlight the smartphone's capabilities for underwater photography and video recording. Diver Malaika Vaz led the adventure.

The video then shows a beautiful trip to the Maldives, more specifically to Fuvahmulah Island, which is considered one of the most unique diving spots due to its crystal clear waters. In the depths, you can find an extensive coral ecosystem with various species of fish, turtles and tiger sharks.

Of course, since this is a partnership with National Geographic, the diver praised the performance and results obtained with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. From all angles, Malaika Vaz emphasizes the speed of capturing images and videos. In addition, it also highlights Samsung's unique image capture feature and the ability to create multiple different GIFs, videos and photos using the same capture.

The equipment is IP68 certified. However, Samsung points out in the video that the Galaxy S21 Ultra can be submerged to a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. Thus, this kind of experimentation is not recommended unless, like a diver, he does not have the appropriate protective equipment and does not know what he is doing.
