Croatian authorities have already identified a mysterious woman rescued with cuts and bruises on her face and body on the island of Krk in that country.
The woman was found sitting on a rock in a bay near the village of Solin in the north of the island, and she did not remember who she was or how she got there. Now her identity is revealed: her name is Daniela, known as Dana-Adamcova, she is 57 years old, she is Slovak.
According to the Guardian, citing Croatian police, the identity was established after friends and acquaintances from Croatia and Slovakia recognized her in a photograph published last Monday.
Some Czech tourists also said that they remember meeting her on the Dalmatian coast, and said that she would be vacationing in this country alone.
Dana Adamkova has worked as a stylist in the United States, creating jewelry for Hollywood celebrities such as Diana Ross, Brigitte Bardot and Barbra Streisand, and her work has appeared in the television series Friends. In fact, according to the local newspaper 24Sata, confirmation of Dana Adamtsova’s identity also came from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, where she lived intermittently until 2015.
The fisherman saw a woman for the first time on Sunday morning. After she was rescued, the police discovered that she had minor injuries, scrapes and severe dehydration. In addition, she spent several nights in the area and was so weak that she could not drink water on her own.
Dana is being treated at the Rijeka hospital and is responding well to treatment. On Wednesday, the authorities described his condition as stable.
