Return to Portugal: Winner Amaro Antunes from W52 FC Porto

Amaro Antunes is the winner of Volta a Portugal. The W52 FC Porto cyclist repeats last year’s victory.

The Portuguese won the 82nd edition of the Volta a Portugal cycling race today after the 10th and final stage of the 20.3 km time trial in Viseu, which was won by Portuguese Rafael Reis (Efapel).

Reis spent 25.24 minutes to secure his fourth victory on this Tour, 12 seconds less than Uruguayan Mauricio Moreira (Efapel) and 41 seconds less than German Juri Hollmann (Movistar).

Antunes finished in Volta 10 seconds ahead of Mauricio Moreira and 1.23 minutes ahead of Spaniard Alejandro Marc (Tuna General-Tavira-Maria Nova Hotel).

Final classification of the Tour of Portugal:

2. Mauricio Moreira, Uru (Efapel), 10 seconds.

3. Alejandro Mark, Spain (General Tavira Tuna), 01.23 minutes.
