Reporter says she was sexually harassed by CNN’s Chris Cuomo – Atualidade

Journalist Shelley Ross released a text published in The New York Times in which Chris Cuomo is accused of sexual harassment.

Shelley then served as an executive producer on a show host and journalist for ABC News.

The two journalists crossed paths outside the professional field at a farewell party with a colleague in 2005, and it was at this event that it all happened.

“When Cuomo walked into a bar on the Upper West Side, he walked over to me and hugged me tightly and lowered his hand to squeeze my buttocks,” he says.

Annoyed, Shelley pushed CNN’s face and expressed outrage as she left the place in the company of her husband, who, even from afar, witnessed everything.

About an hour later, Cuomo sent an email with the headline: “Now that I think about it … I’m embarrassed.” The communicator regretted having outdone himself, especially for doing it in the presence of his colleague’s husband. And it’s this last fact that makes Shelley wonder if the apology is about genuine regret or simply the fact that Cuomo thinks he didn’t respect the journalist’s husband.

Shelley Ross’s indictment comes just as Chris Cuomo’s brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, is embroiled in a sex scandal. The journalist notes the fact that Cuomo distanced himself from his brother’s crimes, claiming that he has always been a supporter of their punishment.
