Each release of Windows has brought with it a set of really cool features. One of the most striking features of the Microsoft operating system was the startup sound that came out when we turned on the computer. Rather, when the operating system has booted. I am well aware of the sound produced by Windows 7 and XP. However, and no one expected, something killed the Windows startup sound. After many years, we found out why!

RELEASED: The reason it killed the Windows startup sound!

The CSI in this case was Jensem Harris, who served as the director of the Windows User Experience (WUE) group. He recently explained why the company turned off the startup sound in Windows 8 and Windows 10, default. Because it’s on. The question is that it is disabled.

The startup sound is now muted because modern Windows devices work a little differently. They can be used anytime, anywhere. However, the startup sound can be annoying for people in a meeting or if you are in class and need to restart your computer.

In fact, it was the result of the transition to a modern world in which PCs practically take over the role of mobile devices – always ready to work and can be used anywhere.

when Microsoft began to work on modern devices, began to optimize platforms mainly for modern use. However, while one team at Microsoft was busy moving Windows to ARM processors, another began to develop an interface that would be better suited for tablets. It was at a time when they were thinking about different things, they began to realize that the startup sound when Windows starts up can be annoying and even weird. For example, someone who for some reason has to work late, has to restart the computer and does not want to wake anyone up.

So the startup sound has ended. This is to avoid inconvenience and awkward situations.

However, Microsoft has not completely removed this option and it can be activated.

To do this, open Settings and then Settings.

Click on the sounds option and open the sounds tab. Then just check the option that allows you to play the startup sound.
